In this week’s cruise news update, we’ll look at the New Zealand cruise season that was over before it even had a chance to begin and talk about why Ponant decided to cancel cruises on its ship, La Perouse. Celebrity have also announced that the Eclipse will be making her way back down under for our 2022/2023 summer season, offering 5-18 night voyages including Food and Wine Classics and more.

MSC also took delivery of their newest ship, Virtuosa. The giant vessel offers 5 pool areas, including one of the biggest water parks at sea, as well as the highly regarded MSC Yacht Club for suite guests.

Closer to home, P&O Australia have shared photos of their newest ship, Pacific Encounter. The transformation of the ex Star Princess is well underway, with many of her public areas receiving a major facelift. P&O Pacific Encounter will be based in Brisbane, with her first cruise scheduled for May 2021.
