The World Health Organization has approved a second Chinese COVID-19 vaccine for emergency use in adults aged 18 and over. Sinovac's Coronavac is the eighth vaccine to win a WHO listing to combat the virus. Graeme Smith, a fellow at the Australian National University's Pacific Affairs Department, tells The World while its efficacy is as low as 51 per cent, the vaccine is still good enough to be part of the Covax program.
