One of the most unique hotels in the world that we visited and stayed in is the Hotel de Vrouwe van Stavoren or the Wine Barrel Hotel in Stavoren, the Netherlands. The room is made of wood from an old wine barrel (vat) but it is complete with a small living room and a fully equipped bathroom and of course the bedroom is the actual wood barrel. Stavoren is about 2-hour train ride from Amsterdam and another 2 hour ferry boat ride. The travel to get there was already an experience in itself, but the unique hotel is amazing!
