NASA's Kennedy Space Center is a central Florida attraction that is home to America's space program.
First on our tour of Kennedy Space Center features we go on the Kennedy Space Center bus tour, which takes you around the NASA complex. We got to see the enormous Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB), the crawler and crawler tracks and even 2 launchpads.
The Kennedy Space Center bus tour then drops us off at the Saturn V/Apollo Center, where we get to walk below the actual Saturn V rocket, and see exhibits relating to the Apollo missions such as some actual moon rock and the astronaut's space suits.
After leaving the Saturn V/Apollo Center, we return by bus to the main Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. We go to the Space Shuttle Atlantis exhibit, which is a brilliant look at the space shuttle program, including space shuttle Atlantis itself. Justin and I go down a slide (twice!) that allows us to glide like a shuttle lands, and we also do the Shuttle Launch Experience.
Finally, we visit the Heroes and Legends Exhibit that contains the Astronaut Hall of Fame. We take one look around the Rocket Garden as Kennedy Space Center closes for the day.
We finish our day off with dinner with my parents at Chilli's.
