First crossing to Bimini Bahamas on Sweetest Thing, our Jeanneau Merry Fisher / NC1095. Fully loaded with 7 friends and gear meant we lacked the pick up we normally have with the twin 300 hp engines. Seas were 3-5 feet and the boat handled those well in the crossing. Those seas kept us from planning at all. Ended up with .5 mpg for the 52 nautical mile trip, rather than the 1.0 mpg with a more typical load and on a plane. Successfully made it to Brown's Marina in Alice Town.
