The Impressive Burj Khalifa soars high into the sky above Dubai of the United Arab Emirates as the world's tallest building - although soon to be surpassed by another building even taller being built nearby. For now, tho, the Burj Khalifa holds the title and offers splendid views from both its base - where the Dubai Fountain performance attracts visitors outside the Dubai Mall (also the world's largest) - and from above, where you can wonder at the views below and beyond from the outdoor patio.

Didn't miss out on venturing to the top of the Burj Khalifa on our first night in Dubai. After setting up base in the Atlantis resort (last video) we hit the Dubai Mall (got lost and lost our car - see a few videos back) and then took the VIP "At the Top" tour of the Burj. Nothing really VIP about the tour, ya just pay to go to the top and not the mid-way point and they call it VIP.

First you get a nice history of how built the structure from nothingness and the work that went into it. Then the elevator ride amazes you with the movies and scenes shown on the screens as you fly higher. Lastly, the views from above are fantastic, especially looking down on the Dubai Fountain Light show. Just as spectacular from above as it was from below and it's pretty cool to see the whole thing at once from the sky.

Another amazing experience from Dubai, a place that exceeding my expectations. Enjoy the film and don't miss out on the walkway cracking below my feet as we looked at the city lights below.
