BHUTAN IN THE SNOW. During our travels around Bhuitam back in February, we had to drive across Thrumshingla Pass in order to get to Eastern Bhutan. This is a very long drive of about 8 hours and the road to get there goes along mountains and plenty of curbs. Once we almost reached the pass we were blocked by the snow. The biggest problem was that the machine they use to move the snow had a flat tire. In order to fix it, they had to drive all the way back to Bumthang fix it, and bring it back!
As you can see we were not prepared for the snow but still managed to have fun. However, we did have to change our plans because we would have had to spend the night waiting on that road otherwise. This is one of the biggest lessons we have learned in 2020: be flexible with your plans!!!
