Let's take a little trip, a two hour trip to be exact, from Vlore (Vlora) Albania to the majestic city of Berat. Now many of you , including myself, may have never heard of Berat City before. Well that may be about to change. Berat City has a rich history with a mix of old Illirian, Greek and Roman, Ottoman influences, dating back to ancient times. It is situated on the Osum River, overshadowed by the spectacular Accursed Mountains in the nearby distance. Sometimes known as the city of a " Thousand Windows", there is an amazing vantage at almost every turn in this stunning ,unforgettable dreamland.

In this video we will explore the lovely Osum River area and hike up to the top of a 2500 year old Berat Castle and you will see exactly why this site is a Unesco World Heritage Site. If I had one place to not miss visiting in Albania, this is one of them. This is part one of a two part video. Check it out!
